FY Results – Sun International announced full-year results for 2022. The group’s income increased by 44% to R11.3 billion, while its adjusted headline earnings rose over 100% to 439 cents per share. Gaming income from casinos, Sun Slots, and SunBet, which make up 80% of the group’s income, showed a significant recovery, with income up 36%. The group’s urban casino strategy helped it grow market share in key provinces, while its Sun Slots business proved resilient with a strong recovery in trading. SunBet’s income was up 86%, with active players up 50%. The group is investing in expanding its share of the online gaming market. The group’s resorts and hotels business experienced a strong recovery in domestic leisure, conferencing, and sports and events revenues.
