FY Results – MTN reported strong financial results for 2021 with group service revenue growing by 14.4% to R196.5bn. The group data revenue rose by 30.4% to R73.7bn, while fintech revenue grew by 8.6% to R17.3bn. EBITDA increased by 12.4% to R90.8bn and the company declared a final dividend of 330cps, up from 300cps in 2021. The company’s subscribers also increased by 6.1% YoY to 289.1 million, while ROE improved by 3.8pp to 23.4%. Reported headline earnings per share (HEPS) were up by 16.9% to 1,154cps, but non-operational impacts decreased HEPS by 159cps. A final div of 330cps was declared (2021: 300cps).
