HY Results – Sibanye-Stillwater had a tough 2022 financial year, with production problems in the first half and profitability pressure in the second half. The company’s headline earnings for the year were R18.4 billion, down from R36.9 billion in the previous year. Revenue dropped by 20% in 2022, leading to a 40% decrease in adjusted EBITDA, with the gold business and floods in the US PGM operations contributing to the decline. Despite the challenges, the SA PGM operations continue to move down the industry cost curves.
