Sappi reaffirmed its focus on debt reduction and liquidity preservation amid an elevated leverage ratio following the Somerset PM2 expansion, weaker USD translation, and pricing headwinds. The company has over $800 m in liquidity, reduced capital expenditure for two years, and suspended its FY2025 dividend to conserve cash. Banking partners have supported higher leverage covenants and discussions are underway to extend revolving credit facilities.
