Cava, the Mediterranean fast casual restaurant chain, lowered its full-year same-store sales growth forecast to between 4% and 6%, down from 6% to 8%, after a weaker-than-expected second quarter. The company reported second-quarter earnings per share of 16c, beating the 13c expected, but revenue of $280.6m missed estimates of $285.6m, while same-store sales rose just 2.1%, well below the projected 6.1%. Shares plunged over 20% in extended trading.
