Mpact expects HEPS from continuing operations down between 47.2% and 56.8%, to between 45c and 55c for the six months ended 30 June 2026. Lower paper manufacturing margins, weaker demand, higher input costs and increased depreciation outweighed improved performances from the Paper Converting and Plastics divisions. Net debt improved to about R2.6bn from R3.0bn despite the challenging trading environment.
