Vodacom reported revenue up 5.9% to R42.4bn for the quarter, with service revenue up 6.3% to R34.29bn. Revenue growth reflected strong performances from Egypt and the International business, while SA service revenue increased 2% as prepaid returned to growth and financial services revenue advanced 17.8% to R4.5bn. The Safaricom acquisition became effective on 30 June, prompting upgraded medium term EBITDA and operating free cash flow growth targets, a higher Vision 2030 revenue ambition above R300bn, and a revised dividend payout policy of at least 65% of headline earnings.
