Wells Fargo (WFC) reported EPS up to $1.60, ahead of expectations of $1.58. Revenue declined to $21.45bn, missing consensus of $21.80bn, while net interest income fell to $12.10bn, below expectations of $12.30bn. Compressed lending margins weighed on results, although loan growth remained strong, with the loan book rising 11% to more than $1.00tn as the bank expanded credit card and auto lending following the removal of its asset cap.
