Trading update – Vodacom revenue increased by 14.8% y/y to R30.7 bn, boosted by the Vodafone Egypt acquisition and impacts from currency translation. Service revenue was up 16.1% in the period, with SA service revenue up 3.0%, and international service revenue rising 18.0%. Financial services revenue came in 30.6% to R2.6bn as the company announced it had achieved 4.5m VodaPay app downloads.
