Tesla the EV maker delivered 336,681 vehicles in Q1 2025, falling short of Wall Street’s 380,000 estimate. This marked Tesla’s weakest quarter since Q2 2022. Tesla sold 78,828 electric vehicles in China in March, down -11.5% y/y. However, sales rebounded 157% from February’s 30,688. Separately, a Politico report, citing three Trump insiders, said that President Donald Trump suggested Tesla CEO Elon Musk might step down in the coming weeks. The White House later dismissed the claim as garbage, but NBC News confirmed Politico’s reporting.
