Telkom reported first quarter revenue up 2.6% to R11.1bn. Group EBITDA increased 10% to R3.08bn, with the EBITDA margin improving to 27.7% from 25.9%. Growth was driven by mobile data revenue up 11.4% and fibre related data revenue up 4%, while disciplined cost control supported margins despite ongoing pressure at BCX. Mobile subscribers increased 6.1% to 25.3m, data subscribers rose 15.5% to 19.8m, and management maintained its medium term outlook while expecting capex intensity between 12% and 15%.
