South32 announced a 61% increase in the Sierra Gorda copper Ore Reserve to 1.1bn tonnes, extending the initial reserve life by approximately five years to 2045. The mine also has significant expansion potential, with the fourth grinding line project expected to increase copper production by approximately 30% from 2031.
