Lyft the ride-hailing stock surged nearly 23% after Lyft posted a first-quarter net profit of $2.57 million, or 1 cent per share, up from a net loss of $31.54 million, or 8 cents per share, a year ago. The company also expanded its share repurchase authorization to $750 million.
