FY Results – Grindrod’s revenue increased by 58% to R7.4 bn in 2022, and EBITDA jumped 32% to R2.2 bin. Headline earnings were up by 37% to R1.1 bn, while cash generated from operations grew by 62% to R1.7 bn. Total ordinary dividends increased 10.5% to 22.20 cents per share. Grindrod’s core business reported strong results, driven by volume growth and customer solutions, with record volumes of 9.8 million tonnes handled by the port of Maputo. The sale of Grindrod Bank resulted in a loss on disposal of R291.7 million, but a special dividend distribution of 55.9 cents per share was made to shareholders.
