Lewis reported HEPS for the year ended 31 March 2025 of 1,483 cents, significantly exceeding the Bloomberg consensus expectation of 1,202 cents. It saw a 67% increase in operating profit to R1.2 bn, driven by a 9.2% rise in merchandise sales to R5.1 bn and a 13.5% revenue increase to R9.3 bn. The gross profit margin improved to 43.4%, with the debtors’ book growing by 14.5% and satisfactory paying accounts rising to 83.5%. The company declared a final dividend of 500 cents per share, resulting in a total dividend of 800 cents, a 60% increase.
