Pepkor interim HEPS increased 12.4% to 84.3c, slightly below the mid-point estimate – while normalised HEPS (due to tax rate distortions) gained 18.9% to 84.3c, slightly above the mid-point of estimates. Revenue was up 12.8% to R48.8 bn, driven by strong performance in Traditional Retail and a 110 bps gross profit margin expansion to 39.2%. The FinTech segment contributed significantly, with revenue up 34.5% to R7.9 bn, bolstered by a 67.3% increase in financial services revenue to R3.4 bn.
