Valterra reported HEPS up 1,634% to R82.02 for the first half. Revenue increased 93% to R81.8bn, driven by higher platinum group metal prices, a 4% increase in production to 1.5m ounces and an 18% rise in sales volumes to 1.7m ounces. Strong operating performance, improved prices and disciplined cost control lifted EBITDA sharply, while free cash flow strengthened and net cash improved materially. Production increased 4% to 1.5m platinum group metal ounces and all in sustaining costs fell -21% to $996 per ounce, while the interim dividend increased 2,750% to R57.00 per share.
